Of course, we had to go see the White House.
And lots and lots of monuments:
The Lincoln Memorial
The Korean War Memorial
The Vietnam Wall
We also went to Arlington National Cemetery and got to witness the changing of the guard.
We got to see the booth at Ford's Theater where President Lincoln was shot
and then the room where he died.
We got to see some of the most favorite exhibits from the Museum of American History. Unfortunately they were remodeling the building so we didn't get to see all of the exhibits. Some of the exhibits that we got to see were:
President Washington's uniform,
President Lincoln's tophat,
Dorothy's slippers,
Jacqueline Kennedy's cape,
R2D2 and C3PO,
and the MASH directional sign.
